Savor Summer

As the end of August approaches, we are trying to make the most of each summer day and night. This means lots of beach walks, barbecues and meals out with friends. On our to-do list for this weekend is devouring this Sticky Grilled Chicken served with lots of sliced tomatoes and sweet corn.

Our new Mayonnaise is blended with homemade curry paste made by The Hamptons Aristocrat.  It's the perfect pick to spice up chicken salad or egg salad. Or slather Curry Mayo over a cut-up Browder chicken and toss it into the grill for a delicious summer dinner.  Don't forget to try our new Seasonal Quiche featuring big, beautiful Heirlooms grown by Invincible Summer Farms.

Spring Fever

New!! For a limited time, try our Pickled Eggs with Beets. And Browder's Blends homemade Mayonnaise made with our Organic eggs is back in stock for the season.  Our new Seasonal Quiche features Sweet Potatoes and Caramelized Onions.

A new egg mobile was built on Monday to house our new layers.  This is number seven in our fleet of Prairie Schooners, six of which have been designed and pre-constructed by CSA Member & Greenport resident George Agnew.  He volunteers his time and skills to our farm every season and the farmers and hens are very grateful. If you haven't seen one of his designs in use on our pasture, just imagine The Plaza, The Little Knell or The Wauwinet of chicken coops. OK, someone needs a vacation!

New! Browder's Quiches & More

With the Summer behind us and cooler days ahead it is the perfect time to introduce our new Browder's Birds Seasonal Quiches. Available this weekend is our Heirloom Tomato Quiche in a Rosemary Crust.   Made with our Certified Organic eggs and Certified Organic tomatoes from Sang Lee Farms, this is the perfect dish to serve for brunch or a light dinner. Sold frozen, we recommend keeping an extra one in the freezer to enjoy once the local tomato season ends.

Also available now is our Own Golden Honey Dip that many kids - and parents - enjoyed at our farm picnic. Try it with vegetables, on a sandwich or with our chicken. Since our hardworking bees have produced so much honey for the farm, we have even made a batch of Golden Honey Cakes!  Find samples this weekend at the markets and at the farmstand.
